Gen V season 1 follows Marie Moreau, a freshman at Godolkin University, who has blood manipulation powers and is haunted by the accidental death of her parents. She and her friends discover a secret underground lab called “the Woods,” which is performing experiments on supes, including the popular student Luke (“Golden Boy”) and his brother Sam.

The season culminates in a campus riot where Cate, influenced by the school’s dean, unleashes a supe-killing virus, leading to Homelander arriving to frame Marie and her friends for the massacre, leaving them imprisoned
